Counter Terrorists

Counter Terrorists Slot Review — Advant Play

Counter Terrorists is a military-action slot from Advant Play, built around a 5-reel, 3-row grid with 25 fixed paylines. The game pairs a medium-to-high volatility profile with an RTP that can reach 97.32%, a Buy Bonus purchase option, and a stack of Wild variants that carry the bulk of the payout potential.

Advant Play, the studio behind Counter Terrorists, is a Malta-based provider founded in 2020 with a portfolio of over 70 slots and mini-games. It targets operators across Asia, South-East Asia, Latin America, the CIS region and Africa, and its titles are certified by GLI and BMM. Its wider catalogue is grouped on the Advant Play provider hub for players who want to see how this title compares with the rest of the studio’s lineup.

Core Gameplay Experience

The reel layout runs 5 columns by 3 rows across 25 paylines, a compact structure that keeps individual spins fast and the paytable easy to read at a glance. Min bet sits at 0.25 and max bet at 1500 per spin, a wide enough range to cover both low-stake testing and higher-stake sessions.

Visually, Counter Terrorists leans into a special-forces battlefield setting: soldiers, firearms and combat gear fill the reels instead of fruit symbols or mythology. The presentation echoes tactical video-game aesthetics rather than a slower narrative theme, which places the title within our Cyber & Technology theme grouping for players who prefer a modern, conflict-driven look over fantasy or classic fruit-machine art.

Features and Mechanics

Counter Terrorists offers two routes into its bonus round: players can trigger Free Spins naturally through play, or use the Buy Bonus option, which relies on Advant Play’s Bonus Bet mechanic to jump straight into the feature. Before the round begins, players get a choice of free-spins variant, so the round is not locked into one fixed configuration.

Wilds are the core value driver of the paytable. Alongside standard Wild symbols, the game includes Wild symbols with multipliers, a Sticky Wild that holds its position across spins, and Stacked Wilds that can occupy multiple positions on a reel at once. Random Wilds add extra wild symbols to the grid independently of those two variants, which is what produces the gap between quiet base-game spins and multiplier-boosted hits.

RTP, Volatility and Payout Model

Counter Terrorists pays back 97.32% of wagered stakes over the long run under its primary configuration, paired with a medium-to-high volatility rating that favors uneven, streaky sessions over steady small returns. That risk profile means the 1,000x stake ceiling is reachable mainly through the multiplier-carrying Wilds and the free-spins round rather than through frequent base-game hits, so bankroll planning should assume stretches of return-free spins between features.

The RTP recorded for this title in our catalog is 96%, which sits in the 45th percentile of the 4,447 slots in our catalog with a published RTP, against a catalog median of 96%. Its medium-classification volatility places it alongside roughly a third of the games in our catalog, where 1,559 of 4,737 titles carry the same rating, and its 1,000x ceiling sits above 21% of the 3,444 slots in our catalog with a published max win, where the typical figure runs closer to 2,500x.

Similar Advant Play Slots — Comparison

Across this group, RTP clusters tightly between 96% and 97.5%, with paylines splitting into a 20-25 low band and a 40-line high band; Counter Terrorists holds the lowest RTP of these Advant Play titles while matching the 25-payline count of Fortune God’s Pot and Boom of Prosperity rather than the 40-line entries. Within a broader comparison built on medium-volatility slots carrying 11 to 50 paylines, Counter Terrorists ranks 20th of 20 titles by RTP, placing it at the bottom of that specific 20-slot band rather than mid-table.

Similar Random Wilds Slots from Other Studios

All four RTPs here, from 94.17% up to 96.46%, sit below Counter Terrorists’ 97.32%, making Counter Terrorists the higher-return option of this comparison group even though it carries its own medium-to-high risk rather than El Loco’s lower medium volatility or the high-volatility Bonus Buy titles from Evoplay and Armadillo Studios.

How to Play Counter Terrorists Online

Counter Terrorists can be tried in demo mode before any real-money wagering, which is the most direct way to see how the Sticky Wild, Stacked Wild and Random Wild layers interact across a run of spins. Demo versions of this and related titles sit in our slots directory and the dedicated Slots category, and the way we test RTP and volatility figures like the ones above is laid out in our review methodology.

Conclusion

“Counter Terrorists rewards patience with its Wild layers more than it rewards frequency — a fit for volatility-tolerant players, not for tight, low-swing sessions.” — Search-Casino Editorial Team

Counter Terrorists suits players who accept medium-to-high volatility swings in exchange for a Wild-stacked paytable and a 1,000x stake ceiling, and who are comfortable either using the Buy Bonus route or waiting out the natural free-spins trigger. Players who prefer frequent, low-variance returns, or who are working with a tight session budget, are better served by a calmer title such as the lower-volatility Fortune God’s Pot from the same studio.
